Cecilie Ravn Skovlund is a postdoctoral researcher with an educational background in Animal Science from University of Copenhagen. Cecilie obtained a PhD degree in animal welfare science and behaviour in 2022 from University of Copenhagen, focusing on zoo-housed polar bears, while also employed at Copenhagen Zoo as an industrial PhD Fellow. During, and shortly after her PhD, she worked as a researcher (academic employee) at University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Zoo, followed by her current position as a postdoc, focusing on topics within domestic rabbit husbandry, behaviour and welfare, as well as zoo animal welfare assessment and its practical implementation in Danish zoological institutions, as part of the Welfare Working Group of the Danish Association of Zoos and Aquaria.
